Description
Loustri House is in fact two separate neighbouring houses, the main house with three bedrooms and the cottage with two bedrooms. The present owners keep the main house for their own use and successfully rent the cottage to summer guests.
The Main House
Originally an old stone house, the main house has been fully renovated and has a quirky layout retaining many original features. The heart of the house is the large kitchen/dining room on the ground floor. This has a high vaulted ceiling, and patio windows leading to the terrace which allow lots of light to flood in. With a traditional 'un-fitted' style kitchen, stone details, and an open fireplace/oven, this has all the atmosphere of a Corfiot kitchen, but with all mod cons.
Off the kitchen is a useful utility/storage room and WC.
A hallway leads to the other side of the kitchen where there are two double bedrooms, sharing a modern bathroom.
Upstairs is another very spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove. The room is large enough for part of it to be used as a bedroom. A bathroom is at one end of the room, and there is also a mezzanine level, ideal for storage or even for extra sleeping space.
This room has a door leading out to the traditional 'Bodzo' at the front of the house with steps leading down to the road level. Windows to the side and back take in the fabulous views.
The Cottage
The Cottage is a totally separate building, next door to the main house. The current owners rent it very successfully during the summer months. The entrance to the Cottage is between the two houses, and opens into a bright and airy sitting room with a kitchen at one end. There are two double bedrooms, one facing the terrace and pool and the other to the side.
Outside there is an attractive paved terrace surrounding a small swimming pool. There is plenty of space for sunbathing and to enjoy the fabulous views along the coastline.
Parking for the property is right next to the house. The houses share a large water storage tank below the patio.
