MIKRO VOUNI, Choroepiskopi, CorfuRef: 20189
In the upper part of the traditional village of Choroepiskopi, on a street with the name Mikro Vouni (small hill) an iron gate leads into a courtyard in which a two-story main house, a storage-room and a guesthouse are located.
At the moment the main house is still divided in two separate buildings. The first part has a bedroom on each floor. They are only connected by an outside staircase, but this gives the first floor bedroom an extra covered veranda with a nice view.
The second house has a living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor.
Opposite the main house is a smaller building with fireplace and kitchen with views out over the hills. Next to this house are the bathroom and a small storage-room.
The whole roof of this potential guesthouse is made into a terrace with wonderful views towards the valley and mountains afar.
At the rear of the courtyard stands a storage place. All the houses are ready to move into but need modernization.
Choroepiskopi is a nice old village with an Italianesque atmosphere. Its history even goes back into the Byzantine era. With the main road towards either Corfu Town or Sidari/Acharavi diverted around it, the village is nice and tranquil. The surroundings of Choroespiskopi are country-like and ideal for nature-lovers. Living in this village will get one away from the buzz of tourism - without being too far away from the beaches.
