NAMA HOUSE, Kassiopi, Corfu
Ref: 11536Kassiopi
Description
This attractive stone house in the hills above Kassiopi has been carefully and tastefully renovated by its present owners who now successfully rent it during the summer season. The house is unusual because much of the stonework is the lovely pink stone local to the area and which is no longer available. Although on the side of the road, there are pretty flower beds around the house and space to park.
Built on a fairly small plot, the house is deceptively spacious, and is arranged 'upside down' with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the lower level and the living accommodation upstairs.
The main front door is accessed by a 'bodzo', a covered balcony with stone steps leading from the path. This bodzo is a lovely sheltered spot to sit and enjoy the view, there is plenty of room for a table and chairs.
The front door leads straight into the living room which has a high vaulted wood ceiling, adding to the overall feeling of spaciousness, and a lovely fireplace with an energy efficient fire in one corner. A pretty windows with a 'Juliiet balcony' looks out over the view and allows light to flood into the room. One end of the living room is used as a dining area and this leads through an archway into the modern fitted kitchen.
Balcony doors lead from the sitting room to the other side where there is a spacious terrace ideal for sunbathing.
Downstairs are three bedrooms, two of them good sized doubles, the third is slightly smaller. There are also two modern shower rooms.
