ROUGA HOUSE, SpartilasRef: 11449
This area of the village is referred to as Pano Rouga as it is the place where the women of the neighbourhood would gather to gossip! A cluster of old houses are built around a little central area.
The owner of this house has already carried out considerable renovation work so that he is able to use it for family holidays. There is still quite a lot to be done, but the project is at a stage where a future owner could still change the layout to suit their own requirements.
It is a large property, the main building covering three levels.
At the moment the lower floor is completely separate from the floor above; there is no interlinking staircase. This floor has two large rooms, the one at the front being a kitchen, and at the back a large storeroom.
Outside there is a flight of stairs leading onto a terrace and from there into another large room, with a small bathroom to the front. Some wooden stairs lead you to the top floor, presently a large bedroom with an ensuite shower room. This room has a balcony on the back of the house with a lovely sea view.
To one side of the house is a very old derelict building which could be renovated to provide further separate accommodation. Part of it at the back has collapsed, and is now the perfect place for a courtyard garden.
Difficult to explain, but well worth viewing, this is a very interesting village property with lots of possibilities.
